Well, Happy 2010 to everyone the world wide!
I never thought I'd be a blogger, but this is currently my third. Two are solo and one is shared with my good buddy. I'm an eastcoast gal, a slacker, and now a foodie who has been overweight her whole life and needs to change because she feels it's catching up with her.
I feel a kinship with Oprah. She's struggled, famously and publicly, with her weight for a long time. And like me, despite her best intentions, hasn't found the magic secret, nor kept to her promises to live her best life. There is no magic. This blog isn't about a vow to lose weight, but about exploring how to eat healthfully in our over-processed world. I would love to lose weight, but it's more about making my insides function better so that I feel better all over.
So, using Oprah Magazine's list of 20 superfoods, recipes from the magazine and others I discover or create, I plan to eat at least one superfood per day, and cook at least one superfood recipe a week. That's my minimum commitment. I'm hoping for inspiration and more.
I'll post the recipes I cook, give my thoughts on the recipe and the superfood therein. I'd love to hear your thoughts on eating healthfully, your secrets and your recipes.
Oh, and if you get this through email, but don't want it, let me know and I'll take you off the list.
